Mission
Choice To LIVE.com exists primarily to provide information and ideas for those who respect human life. The intent is for the site to be frequently updated by linking to relevant news articles which relate to life issues.
Initially, the site was intended to focus primarily on the atrocity of abortion. It was expected that other life issues would be explored but the spotlight would remain on abortion. That all changed when Terri Schiavo's court ordered starvation and dehydration began. Euthanasia/assisted suicide is now a major issue. Accordingly, this site will focus equally on abortion and euthanasia/assisted suicide.
If you are reading this and happen to be in favor of legalized abortion, assisted suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, the death penalty, etc., (or any combination thereof), we simply ask you to have an open mind when reviewing the content on this site.
About the Name
The site name was developed to address a seeming misconception about the word "choice." By virtue of the free will provided to us by God, we have choices. We have the physical capability to engage in good and moral acts. We have the physical capability to engage in evil and immoral acts. God allows us to choose the direction we will follow. It is always possible to repent and return on the path toward God. (One must not forget to follow the requirements of their religion in order to truly repent and return to the path toward God.)
If the slaughter of innocent children known as abortion is one day made illegal, it will do NOTHING to end true CHOICE. Merely because an act is illegal, humans still have the capability of engaging in that act. Robbing a bank is an evil, immoral and illegal act. It is an act that should never be committed. But despite the host of secular laws banning this act (not to mention the fact that it violates the 7th Commandment), humans have shown they have the capability to engage in this act. The free will given to us by God allows this capability. It is up to us to make the CHOICE not to engage in evil acts.
